Spiritual Discipline: Gifts and Generosity

Dear Church Family and Online Community,

I pray you are well and blessed this day! If you were not with us in worship this weekend, you were missed. We came together to share in the Sacrament of Holy Communion at our services. At our 9:26, we were able to serve one another the Sacrament. At our traditional worship, we were able to come to the table to share in Communion with one another.

Our series continued into its fourth week focusing on the covenantal question, "Will you faithfully support the ministries of the church by your prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness?" Our focus today came from 1 Timothy 6:17-18, Paul's charge to Timothy to be generous in every occasion. God calls us to be intentional in our generosity and to practice extravagant generosity. Extravagant generosity is a tangible expression of our love for God as God's love for us is extravagant.

This week, we have much to be looking forward to. Wednesday Night, we will have our "Connect" at Christ Community. Dinner is at 5:30 p.m. (Call the church by noon Monday to reserve your spot for the meal.) Classes for all ages begin at 7:00 p.m.

Sunday, March 10 is the Youth's Chili Cookoff! There still is time to sign up for this! Call the church office to have your name included on the sign-up. Plan on staying after worship Sunday for the great chili!

Have a blessed week church and know that it is honor to serve and lead as your pastor.
